Oil Change

I get mad at myself if i go over 5,000

That's a good attitude to have. I consider myself late at 7500 miles. The oil can last that long. More even. It's the oil filter that should be changed at 5000 miles or so. Course, when the oil filter and oil are changed at different intervals, it gets confusing. Best way is to change both at 5000. RIght now I'm sorta poor so I'm pushing it to 7500 since that's when it was free.

When to change

I don't care what car I'm driving or if NASA built it. Oil is the life blood of your engine man. So to argue over the expected time span between $50 oil changes is silly . I change every 4,000 miles...period.
