There's something about an M3 that makes me turn into a little kid and provoke me to stare in amazement...

...not sure what it is...

But nonetheless, I went to return some videos I rented last night and the owner happened to be there today. And yes, he drives an nice M3...

Yeah, I never was much on convertibles until I got mine. In fact, I loathed cabrios...

...I never understood why people drove them. Even when I was the passenger in one. But it's totally different being the driver. Not sure why. You get a more, 'free' feeling when you drive with the top down. And who said you needed an SUV to lug furniture around. Haha.

AndrewBall-

Soooo...

Lets see where would you say the Z8 ranks ??,

Your 1987-325hardtop is more of a true sports car ?

[rofl]

It can be argued that "True" sports cars are convertibles...?????

The picture shows a bit of evolution...both even Red !!

And a convertible is the ticket !

Freedom Baby !!![thumb]
Yeah that's true. It does show a bit of evolution. But they're both true beauties in their own right. IMO anyways. That freedom we both speak up. No better example than to take it down PCH here in Cali at 70mph. It's awesome. Haha.[thumb]

I'll take a convertible any day, especially a BMW convertible. I drove a 2000 Z3 (loaned to me) for the summer of 2000. That was the first time I had ever spent any appreciable amount of time in a convertible, and I'll tell ya what, I had a blast. That Z3 was the most solidly built convertible I've ever ridden in or driven. I'll never forget the sweet exhaust note that so pleasantly found its way over the trunk lid and into the cockpit when the top was down. That summer of driving was probably some of the most fun I've ever had in a car. Wish my E30 was a cabrio!!

Haha... totally, however the E30 Cabrio suffers from what all vinyl windows go through...

...that horrid cloudiness and oxidation. But eh, when you live in California, you can always have your top down. [rofl]

i heard someone call an e30 convertible a aerodynamic flaw, i smacked him and said dude the car is shaped like a brick...aerodynamics are not a key focus here, unique square curves are and they look great, i just like the flow of the hardtop BMWs more. and im not a top down kinda person i dont like all the wind, i see no use for it.

Ah, ok then that's totally understandable. If you're not the wind in your hair type person then it's not for you. Although the E30 has poor aerodynamics compared to the cars of today, it does have pretty good go-when-you-want type power. [:D]

Gawd, I sound like a car journalist.
