A BMW Family

For 26 years, all I've heard from my dad is how great and wonderful BMWs are.

It was his dream car.

When he was in his 50s, after putting 2 of his 3 sons through college (the 3rd son is entering College this fall), my dad finally was able to purchase the car of his dreams: a BMW M3

It changed him a little, made him younger somehow, as if he reconnected with his youth.

There was a new life in him

My younger brother bought a 2004 BMW 330 w/ Sports Package just 3 weeks ago - he was able to afford it a lot sooner than my dad b/c my 23 year old brother doesn't have a family yet and he works as a computer programmer.

Yesterday night, I bought my BMW - not quite as flashy as my dad and brothers, but I love it just as much: 2004 BMW 325i w/ the Premium Package.

I was so excited last night that I almost slept in the car. I couldn't sleep b/c I was so excited. I kept looking out the window to stare at my new car.

Just wanted to share - this looks like a very welcoming place and I am glad to be a new member to the community.

Hello everybody.

Hello everybody.

Now, replace every instance of BMW with Honda or Ford. Not quite as meaningful ? Basically, BMW builds vehicles people can be passionate about !

Welcome to the Club !

You guys are lucky. To my dad, a BMW is an overrated piece of shit that breaks down on every corner. Every time something goes in my car because its the previous owner's fault (because those are the only things that went wrong) he just has to say something underlining his theory of BMW being inferior to Japanese cars or something. Why is it the companies fault that my fan clutch went when the previous owner broke one fan blade and made the whole thing disbalanced? and that's just the beginning, I must tell you this though, I will tell my children how great BMWs are and I already tell my friends that they are awesome.

congrats on the new car. ur gonna love it. its like after owning one, your like, i wont settle for anything else and youe tell everyone to buy one, you buy one fofr you kids if u can afford it and so on.not many cars have that effect.

i know several families who buy a bmw, right, and then almost every car they buy after that, is a bimmer.

I guess my dad is kind of on a similar page. He used to be a big BMW fan, he went through a BMW 2002 and an E30 3-series (both of which he had way before I was born). He used to love BMW and stick shift but then in the late 80's he switched over to Benz and he hasn't turned back. My dad is just an auto-driving Benz whore now. [thumbd]
