Are Bmw dealers good about finding good Financing for you? Do they give discount on the M3 for college graduates and first time buyers?

Welcome aboard Matt, most dealers will most likely offer you better financing than banks. That's how they make extra money.

In order to get the best deal, you need to know what kind of interest rates you qualify for. Try visiting places like Capital One and fill out their online application. They can give you a quote instantly and you can use that information to get a better deal from your dealer.

I don't know wither BMW offers any incentives for new college graduates, but it wouldn't hurt to ask the dealer before hand.

In regard to buying new or use, that should be up to you. As long as you do your homework and check the records carefully, getting a used car is sometimes a viable option and can save you a good chunk of change.

I have been waiting for this for a long time.

Every dealer wants sticker and up. But yes, you can even get BMWs for under sticker. If it's a non-M car, you should be working from the invoice up. Not down from sticker. M's are a little harder to bargain, but you should be able to get an M3 under sticker now.

I think Edmunds has a "True Market Value" price on their website. I use www.carsdirect.com to see what the going rate is in my zip code, but they prolly don't tell you the price of the M3. You can try tho.

Since I just went through this, I will give my opinion, & why I went brand new with my purchase.

M3's hold their value exceptionally well, especially when under factory warranty which is 4 years. It was well worth it to order the colors and options I wanted and obtain a full warranty rather than save a few thousand dollars. I was able to gracefully and carefully break-in the car and do not have to think about a previous owners abuse etc...

If you get a nice used M3 for decent price and from an owner with integrity, no problem, but finding a great used one at a competative price is not so easy.

I have ordered through BMW twice and loved the experience both times.

hey man, i a 2003 m3 in houston 1 yr ago, got it for about 20% less then a new one, and it had 4K miles. I found the dealer to be willing to deal quite a bit more because he had 4 used m3's, 2 the same color. This was the dealer in SW houston off of 59.

Buy certified if used

undefinedAlways go through a BMW dealer. Always get a certified used if a new one is too high $. Go to any dealer that gives you the best deal. We just picked up an M3 convertible '04 in Illinois and we live in Hilton Head, SC. All BMW service centers will work on your car no matter where it is from. 2 examples. An Atlanta Dealership will pick up and deliver ypur car to you --no charge--if you live anywhere in Georgia. Also our M3 rims were discolored and blotchy. The regional service rep in the Southeast gave our South Carolina service department the go ahead to put on all new rims [clap] [clap] ---$2800. "Whatever makes the customer happy" And we are. BMW is great. [thumb]

With a car like an M3, I would definitely go through a dealer. Getting a car that is CPO'ed is extremely important. The repair bills on the M3 are higher than the conventional 3 series and you would be much better off with a 100k warranty, if you go the used route.

This is the way I purchased my car. CPO all the way...

The car looked new when I got it (still does). Hard to tell it was pre-owned.

Go to www.bmwusa.com website and look up Certified Preowned Vehicles.......you can punch in your zip code and it will tell you all M3's in your area or look up all M3's in the US at dealerships. There are many M3's in Houston that are CPO..........Dallas is probably the same. Good luck!
