Glad to have discovered this board. Just purchased a 2002 325ci Concertible. Car was not garaged, not waxed, and not well cared for. I'll take care of that. Question: It's still under warranty, and I see that the rubber under the wipers has decomposed. Covered? If not, anyone have any ideas?

The rubber under the wipers, do you mean the rubber that covers the cowling just below the windshield? I think that is not covered, but you should check with the dealer.

I replaced that part on my (deceased) 94 325i, it was about $70 and took maybe an hour or two to replace. It's a DIY if you are a moderately experienced on working on cars. Otherwise, any shop can easily do it.

It is a good idea to fix it, water and dirt can pool under it if it is cracked and cause rusting.

It's still on the car, if I part it out, I will sell it to you. I still am working out my options (one of which includes keeping for a dedicated track only car!)

BTW, how come so many BMWs? Which do you find yourself driving above the others?
