i just recently got pulled over for tinting my windows. when i got pulled over, the cop said that my front side windows cant be tinted and must be removed. does anyone know the exact laws with tint jobs. i heard that its ok to tint your windows if you can see through them from the outside. i also heard that you cant have tint period.

Originally, I thought that Cali law stated that no tint was allowed on the front side windows. But after I located this web page it appears that 70% is allowed, however 70% tint is virtually clear.

In GA its 4" visor, 30% on front and 15% i think on the rest.

If i do it on mine, ill prolly do 50-70% all the way around

In CA, any amount of tint is allowed in your back side and rear windows. It used to be nothing on the front sides and windshield. However, when I tinted my windows, the tint guy told me they changed the law this year or last to allow 70% on the front sides. That includes the amount the glass naturally blocks. I have 70% tint (see my sig for pics) so I'm prolly illegal by a couple percent b/c of what my front window naturally blocks.
