Thinking hard about buying

I have my eye on a 1997 740iL. It has 130,000 and is in excellent condition. I currently own a Lexus LS400. We really like the Lexus, it is a great car, and we'll keep it even if I do buy the 740. Have always wanted a BMW and would like some feedback from those that own one.

It's got a lot of miles on it but I'm sure they were well driven miles, the BMW will drive much more agile than the Lexus, if your willing to put in the effort (future service will not be cheap), I'd say go for it! The late 90s E38 7er were my personal fav! Heck even Bond drove one!

They were and still are one of the best 7 series ever made you actually see a lot of these on the road. Were solid and very well engineered. A graphics artist for a printing company that my company does work for owns one, she loves it.
