New to the forum, want to say hello -
liitle bit about myself...

23 from Boston...Student / Architect
currently drive a 2000 Acura 3.2 TL
i was rear-ended bout a month ago - the car has been in shop since...
I am now lookin to get rid of the TL (my first hard earned car.) and put myself into a M3 (97 or later) any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

Welcome aboard! One suggestions I have is that you will love any M car now matter what year. 97 + is a good place to start, but you have to make sure you post pics once you do find and buy one.....

i am a subscriber to bimmer magazine, and i have been reading it for about3 years now...I have made a vow to myself that i will not sit/drive any BMW until it is my first BMW...i have been lookin to get an M3 for sometime now...and i am close...but i also want to in about 2 years, after i get my degree...get an M5...well at least thats my plan so far....

but if you guys have any pointers on what too look for when purchasing an M3, i would appreciate all input...

first off, [welcome] to the boards

if u wan't a good deal on the purchase Autotrader is the way to go, but dont send money to any foreign bank or from someone who said the car is in some foreign country, a lot of scams on autotrader with M3's...if you find a M3 on autotrader go see it in person, take it for a drive and get a feeling for it, 97+ should be cool and you probably can find descent millage, as for pre-owned ones from BMW they are a lot more pricey then what you can find on autotrader
