Stupid but Im just wondering

I was at a parking lot and some guy pulled up beside me in a 4 door e36 M3....I always thought that M3's were only 2 door...Did they make 4 door M3's?? or was his just a conversion kit?

They made an E36 M3 4-dr in 97 and 98.

Instead of a 4 door M3 they made the 330i sport package. They frshened up the motor with a new cam, and the suspension is beefed up for spirited driving. Last year one of the guys I autoX with bought one and was running right with the e36 M3. The 330 sport is a good looking family hauling machine. As far as an e46 M3 4- door, not in the prodction plans that I know of. Hense a more powerful and better handaling "super 330i".

Actually, what you described is called Performance Package (a.k.a. "ZHP"). Sport Package includes only different wheels, power front sport seats and leather-wrapped steering wheel, but no changes in engine or suspension.

i think that the M's should remain 2 door coupes, it looks more sporty, and M is for motorsport

F O S with BOLD capital letters.... M1, M3, M5, M roadster/coupe (whatever it's officially called) never an m7.

I'm pretty sure they're going to have a 4 door M3 soon. We all know that the new 2 door M3 will be known as the M4, the 4 door will be known as the M3.
