i bought 17" rims from ebay.. and it said OZ style rims with bmw roundel in center of wheel.. all that good stuff.. looks nice, but the thing is.. when i got it.. the center cap said GZ instead of OZ.. and the bmw roundel was actually a decal that i had to stick over it. and to make it even crazier, it was made in taiwan.. lol, but overall.. the rim looks nice.. cost was 525 for four rims.. not tires.. you think i got ripped off? or good deal.. im worried since its made in taiwan, that it'll be 'weak' on the road.. that it'll damage easily.. what do you think?

You just got a fake. No big deal. The description said oz STYLE. If it was original, you can bet the description would have made that clear and obvious (like bold and caps saying "AUTHENTIC"). Still, as long as you don't hit major potholes, you shouldn't have a problem. It's not like they're gonna collapse on you out of nowhere. They'll just be a bit more fragile and much heavier than the real things. Basically, you got the looks and nothing else. But for that price, can you really complain?

By the way, which style is it. Or just put up the link to the eBay auction.

Is it from taht dude? That style is more expensive, but with $75 shipping, it's not really that great a deal for knockoffs. If it was $525 shipped, that's not so bad.

You have to real careful on Ebay. People can word things like a snake oil salesman to make you think your getting something your not. This guy was pretty up front though. Sounds like you got a pretty good deal. You got the look you wanted, and if the fit is right then you should be happy.

You saved money off the real ones. Knockoffs usually aren't too much cheaper than the real ones. I wouldn't say you got a great deal, but you did save money so don't feel too bad. Next time, just post the link here if you're unsure and us eBay "experts" can let you know what to look out for.
