I bought a 96 328ic a month ago with 85000 miles, it seem to be in very good shape.. and is a lot of fun to drive. I have had a warning come on a couple of times telling me when the outside air temp has dropped to 38 degrees, anyone know why? Also any comments/complaints/tips etc. in general would be appreciated. thanks

Welcome to the board. The warning comes on to let you know that the roads may be icy. It can be disabled but I do not have a manual to tell me how. If you do not have a manual someone here will tell you how I am sure. Again welcome and congrats on the purchase.

Welcome aboard, if it's an earlier '96 production model, make sure you replace your waterpump since the older ones came with plastic impalers that are known to have issues. Other than that, make sure she is well-maintained and enjoy your new ride.

On a 1995 325ic, Automatic display below 37.5 F (+3 C): A chime sounds and unit of measure flashes for 8 seconds. The warning appears again if the TEMP has increased to 43 F (+6 C) at least once since the last warning, and has drop below 37.5 F (+3 C) again. I cannot locate how to disable the alrm in the owners manual might be different on a 328? call your local dealer for that INFO.
