I have followed the BMWBoard and have been thrilled with the cooperation and willingness for "older" owners to assist "new" or "prospective" owners.
Tomorrow I'll plunk down $1600 for a 1985 325e, 2dr, ~125k miles. The car appears to be in great shape. The guy selling is not - broken back. But then another item is broken - the speedometer does not work. Generally speaking, what would be the cause of this? speedometer transmitter? something worse? Any help would be appreciated.
