I have leatherette non power sport seats. I have that tilt feature thing. Did you set the little switch to the right side? I think if you slide it to the left, that's when it'll tilt. It's one or the other.

passenger mirror tilt down

Hi! I am not 100% sure, but I think it depends on what model you have, and yes, if the power mirror adjustment switch is placed on the driver side.

My 2004 330cic has the power tilt down (I mean, when it feels like working). I checked in the brochure and both the 325cic and 330 have it...regardless of packages. My cousin just bought a 2003 325i...and hers does not have it (or maybe it just doesn't work !!!!!)

Just look online, or call BMWNA. Hope this helps some. Good Luck!!

I have had the tilt feature in our 02 325xiT and our new X3.

The Reverse/Tilt feature is only active if the mirror adjustment is set for the Driver's mirror (left position). If it is in the right position the auto-tilt is locked out by the manual control setting...

Patience, 'Princess... We finally got our X3 two weeks ago (after a 3-month wait). It is worth it!

Oh, yeah, 2001 models didn't have it as a standard feature. You wouldn't have it then. Not a big deal really. It tends to be one of the most frequent items to break anyways. I just leave mine turned off.

thanks codex57,

i am not too worried about the tilt option, one less thing to break.
i am just sceptical about the "BMW Classic" service tech when he told me i don't have the option. never like to deal with them. they just don't give enough confident for me.
