Hopefully someone out there can help me. I got a warning that a taillight was burned out so I replaced it myself. All the lights now work but I still get the warning everytime I start the car. Should the warning have gone out automatically or is there some way I can reset the OBC?

Did you replace the lamp with Euro lamps, the silver based ones? The US lamps with the brass bases cause electrical differences that are enough to trigger system failure warnings even though they work.

Also check this out - check the terminal connection of the bulb holder. Over time you can get some corrosion in there, that can interrupt the connection. Get a pencil with a good eraser, and use the eraser to 'remove' any corrosion so you get a better contact. That might help!

This works in some cases, but I have found many times you must replace socket overall. I have a few bulbs go out and 50% of the time I had to replace the bulb socket along with the bulb.....
