I want to replace my exhaust on my 1995 525i I am having a hell of a time finding something that will fit this model. I would like a cat back system, and possibly a straight pipe to replace my cat. Does anyone have a link to a site that sells something to this nature. Or, maybe I could use an exhaust system for another model. Finally why is it so difficult to find performance parts for this vehicle? Thanks Tree

It's hard to find because it's not a typical performance vehicle. Least, not one that's modded. You'll find that the cheaper models will have more modding parts. The 3 series for example. Those who can afford the 5 series tend to be older and slightly wealthier, but more conservative. Of the performance minded 5 series owners, they'd concentrate on ones with bigger engines like the 535.
I'm sure there are parts out there though. Good luck in finding it. It'll take some patience cuz not only is it not a more popular model for performance parts, it's also getting old now.
