Nav DVD: has anyone ever tried to copy it?

Has anyone ever tried to copy the nav DVD with DVD X-copy or any disk copy software?

Then you could put away the original as a master and use the copy.

Of course the nav DVD player would have to be able to play the DVD format you wrote the DVD with (like DVD+R).

but do you really need to? cds/ dvds usually get damaged while beign moved around, not while it's inside the player.. altho i guess it might be cheap if you have bunch o friends w/ teh same car and the nav, and can upgrade for cost just paying for one.. (is piracy of nav discs condoned? [unsure]

I think you are right, as long as I leave it in there it should never get damaged. I like your update sharing idea though...will have to look into that when the time comes. Great idea. Any takers?
