Hi all,

Thanks for the comments.

Tom, no plans at this time to mod. I'm still in the early stages with her. I really wouldn't know where to begin the mod at this point.

toneloc71sr,

I paid $39,700 $CDN including all taxes, etc. Still has 2 years on the warranty remaining. Bought it from the BMW dealership and it was one of the pre-owned certified series. It was fully loaded with premium package. I was actually looking at 2007 323i but in terms of value for money my '03 330i was much better. And after having recently driven the 323i, I have to say I was glad to be back in my 330i (no offense to 323i owners)

DrValidus,

I'm not sure what "Angel Eyes" refers to. Hope you are enjoying the 525i

Vandalized! GRRRRRRRRRR!

Well my baby was vandalized in the early morning hours of April 01 ( I wish it was April Fools joke). They only managed to punch out the drivers side lock. No entry was gained and no other damage.

I'm curious, would the alarm have gone off as they were attempting the break in?

Holy hell, so sorry to hear that.

What were the thiefs going to do once they got in? if they punched the lock they wern't smart thiefs. did you have anything in sight that was of considerable value?

Hope your insurance will cover?

Hi Doughnut,

I was wondering the same thing? They can't start it and the alarm would have been going off had they got in.

No I didn't have anything in sight. I'm very careful about that. I have to pay a $300 deductible and my insurance pays the rest. I'm using a shop that my local BMW dealership uses for any of their bodywork, painting, etc.

The bodyshop wants to paint the drivers side door and passenger door. There literally are two very small and short scratches and for that they are suggesting painting the entire door. I don't pay a dime for this but it doesn't make sense to me. I'm very worried about the paint not matching up. I'm pretty close to saying no for the painting. Although, the BMW dealership says they would not use these guys if wasn't quality work.

Any suggestions, feedback on this painting thing?

well, considering the age of the car, im pritty certain the colout will match up.
Hell, I bought paint for my old 1984 bimmer (factory colour) and it matched up quite nicely, if they are a good shop, and bmw recommend them get the entire doors done.
