[wave] I know a lot of you guys hate these cars, but I love it. This is my new Titanium Gray 530i. Picked it up from the dealer today. The sun was in a bad place for picture taking, but I was too sick to move the car around so the light was right. I'll post some more pictures later.

It comes with HUD, Nav, Premium Package with Comfort Seats, and Xenon headlights.

My 2000 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor sits next to it. [thumb]

Don't listen to him. If you don't know it already, he's the resident American car basher.

I like the new 5er as well. I think they look mean coming down the road at you. I like the color of yours too. Enjoy it! The police interceptors are pretty respectable for a car that size and weight. I've got a buddy who has the previous bodystyle police interceptor Crown Vic. They let him keep all the lights, sirens, and radios in the car when he bought it since he is a volunteer firefighter. Did you pick yours up secondhand from a local police department?

By the way, welcome to the board!

It's cool to have the info there, but it's not worth $1000.00. For whatever reason, I expected it to be a laser image on the screen, but it's just a set of mirrors from what I can tell. It's cool to have and that's about it. If I were to order my car today, I'd order it without the HUD.

Check the nomenclature on the color as it may be useful later on. Unless the 5 is different from the 3 the color is either Titanium silver metallic (code 354) or Silver grey metallic (code A08) and new for 2004. The difference is that the silver grey is a little darker, sort of between the Titanium silver and the Steel grey which was dropped from the color chart. Congrats on the new car. Enjoy it for a long time.

Yo usher, just out of curiosity, how fast can that interceptor go? Can that 530 take it? I would think it would be about even since the Ford is so heavy.......just wondering. Nice car. I have the 2001 530 and I really like the new body style now. Thinking about waiting another year before purchasing another. Take care.

Crown Victoria PI’s are governed at 139mph, however Harrison, PD had the governor set to 105pmh. To answer your question, no the 530i can’t “take it”. I do enjoy the feel of the 530i though. Great car to drive.

Hello I am new here and recently purchased a 2004 530i in silver grey metallic. Great car but am already having the iDrive tell me there is faults in the passanger side restraint and airbag system. Unbelievable only 2 weeks old. Any way I cannot believe that your Interceptor could take the 530. I have had my 530 at 143 mph on the autobahn, the 530 is governed at 155mph but without the limiter I can guarentee it would easily hit 175. Great forum by the way KUDOS
