What are the odds I could actually get a 325i, auto steptronic, sport & prem packages, fold down rear seats, HK sound, leather, metalic paint, xenon for $36,467.50? Anyone have opinions. Ive priced them out on the net. However because dealers are so tough I'm not sure if it will happen. Any thoughts

Thank in advancce

New? no. Used, probable if you are willing to compromise on the options. The car you described lists for over 38,000 (according to the BMW website) and in my experience BMW dealers rarely go lower. In the market I live in they mark them up even more because of their popularity. Good luck. 325's are fun cars.

I found invoice pricing and msrp pricing. I figured that I would split the costs. I did pricing from the BMW website an came up with a little over 38K. If msrp is exactly that (suggested retail price) usually that means it's negotiable. Yes / No

Yes, it is negotiable and you should be able to pick up the car for 36k easily... Brand new, just shop around with different dealers, and if those in AZ wont budge you can always try outside of state, since driving a few hundred miles in a BMW is an enjoyable activity.

I agree with that. What is negotiable depends on the dealer and where you are. Some markets are more competitive and therefore the dealers don't have to negotiate. They even attach a dealers markup in addition to the msrp. The bay area in California seems tight. That was the case with our 325. I bought my 2002 530 when the 2003's were coming out so I was able to negotiate a nice break (asked the dealer to give me a reason to buy the 2002 now rather that order the 2003 since the cars were't that different). Good luck.

I just got my 325xi two days ago for 36 1/4 - msrp was 38535. Total financing with the extend warenty and everything caused a little sticker shock though.

This was a little surprising to me since the dealer had three of these (prem pkg, cold pkg, xenon, leather, titanium silver) last saturday when I was there -- all sold. They had to transport mine out of storage from another dealership (same ownership).
