just bought '94 325i

hello all, i just bought a '94 325i from a mechanics wife, friend of family friend.

i know next to nothing about bmw's. i was honestly shopping for a used toyota or honda when this one came up in conversation. my mechanic wanted me to dump my saturn and heard about this one, one thing lead to another...

so after a day of driving, here i am... cold and running out of gas. i forgot to ask how to turn on the heat and open the gas panel to fill up. also, my near empty gas guage says "unleaded only" does that mean i can fill up with the regular 87 unleaded? please advise.

you can probably guess, i do not have the owner's manual.

use at least 89 octane, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't use anything under 89. It is best to run premium, but you can get by with good health at 89.
