Finally ordered my first BMW...

2004 330CiC
Orient Blue/Black Top
Premium
Sport
Xenons
6-speed baby!

Can't wait for September!!!

I'm actually thinking about taking delivery at the BMW Center in Spartenberg, SC and then cruising the Blue Ridge with the top down.

Congrats................Everyone should have a convertble at least once in their lives. They are real fun cars and useful too. Did you ever try to put a bulky item in the too small trunk openings. Put down the top, cover the seat and set it in, carefully of course. Good luck to you both.

It's finally here!

Picked up my gorgeous new 330CiC last Saturday from the dealership and already have over 100 miles on it... 3/4 of it with the top down enjoying the fall weather. I knew the car had arrived before my sales consultant did as I got the arrival date and saw it right after it arrived at the dealership for prepping.

I 'visited' my new car the next two nights on the way home from work, until they took it into the detailing area for my delivery. On Friday night, they had it parked in their delivery room right next to a Z8 Alpina.... sweeeeeet!

Saturday morning, my wife and son went through the introduction and orientation, put down the top and drove away with huge smiles....

It was a looooong wait but will worth it as I got the exact car I wanted.

One word of warning for those who have convertibles:

Make sure that when you take delivery, you put the top through a complete up and down cycle, including part where the windows raise and lower.

The first time I closed the roof, the passenger door window did not come up automatically, as it should, when you keep pressing the 'close' button. All the other windows came up correctly. It also did not raise when using the 'all close' window switch. The individual window switch had to be used to close the window.

The driver's window now has the same problem. Kind of discouraging, but thankfully minor and with a workaround. I'm definately going to ask my dealer if I got my full $600-worth of 'dealer prep', as I feel this should have been caught and fixed before delivery.

Pictures to come soon, hopefully!
