So you have sound from the CD and the Tape but no sound in radio mode? One of two possiblities:
1 - A failure internal to the radio in the radio receiver section.
2 - A failure external to the radio in the antenna circuit. Your car probably has an antenna amplifier near the rear windshield. In the 3 series it is in the pillar next to the rear window behind the trim. I don't know about your car. The amplifier could have failed, or just lost power. Either way, you would likely get no reception.
