I've just purchased my 2nd BMW. 1st was '79 528I (4sp) I put 140K on the clock, it was simple to repair and at the time was the perfect car. Now 20 yrs later having a mid life crisis (50 this year) I just bought a 2000 740il sport with 75K. I know the previous owner well and trust him. Only repairs are a new radiater. I just took it to a BMW specialist, he sd it checked out perfect. I've now have driven 200 mi, it's a rocket with a gage or button for everything. What can I expect in maint bills and what can I do now to prevent problems. I don't want to trick it much, but would like to drop in a K&N filter only and buy a Strong Strut tower brace making winding turns MUCH more fun. What do you think?
