Help! Its Hot And My A/c Goes On And Off

Hi,
I have a 1999 BMW 323ic. Recently, my air conditioning has been acting screwey. The setting will be on full blast, but it will slow down to nothing, and then randomly go back to high? It always blows out cold air just not very high at times. Where is the blow motor at??? I am wondering if a connection is loose? or my climate control is messed up? HELP PLEASE. It is a black car and gets really hot in the summer without air. Not to mention I don't know very much about cars either.

Yeah well your post doesnt make it ABSOLUTELY clear that When you turn the fan up that it DOESNT go up....that is why I said that...not being facetious or anything..... [???1]

Thank you Kirby for your help. I will try the resisitor pack and Hopefully it will work. I really appreciate it that you took time out of your day to help me versus someone else who was being really funny and making fun of me.... hahaha Thanks again Kirby!

Sigh....I was being serious....it is irritating being accused of something and it was never my intention to be "funny". If you want to know I meant that my A/C acting funny was not that big a deal to ME......sorry if your feelings got hurt but it wasnt my intention.....jeez.... [:0]

Don't worry, some people come in a little too sensitive and frustrated.

Had a similar problem as described here and it was the blower motor resistor - I was also led to believe it is a fairly common problem in BMWs
