Help!! 1982 633cs!!!!!!

I found what I think to be a great deal on one of these that appears to be in good condition as well.......

1982 BMW 633CS
Black
Leather Interior
91,000 miles
automatic

CarFax looks fairly perfect
everything visibly on the car looks great

$3,500

my question is, being completely new to BMW, is what kind of costs am I looking at, for even minor repairs, such as brakes, gaskets, etc.

does anyone have any experience with this model? does this price seem fishy? how available do replacement parts seem to be?

any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Nada lists the car between $3800 - 7800, so your price looks good, my questions would be the transmission. These were known to have problems, for instance if you rev the car in netural you can blow the trans up. I would have the car inspected by a good German garage checking fluids etc. If this looks ok, buy it! By the way Welcome to the board and good luck.
