Good Quote? Looking for best price

As stated in an earlier thread, I'm looking at getting a 330i w/Premium & Sport packages with Xenon headlights (metallic paint).
I was quoted on this specific car at $39,500. In most experiences does this seem to be about the best quote I'm gonna get?
I'm applicable for military sales programs, but can only find one sales group for this. They quoted me at $37, 400, but want $2100 for delivery.
Call me a penny pincher, but I'm just trying to get the best price. Is this as good as it gets or do any of you know of someplace to get a better price. (Knowledge of any other military sales programs for BMW besided pentagoncarsales.com would be appreciated too.)
I found on MSN autos that the invoice for this specific car is 37,400.
Thanks for your help.

Cardirect is giving a price of 37.5, but of course no co-op dealers in my area.
MAN!!! I am torn with what colors to get. I've been torn over this for almost a year. I would have bought one last fall, but just couldn't decide on what colors to get. I'm not partial to the sand or grey because they just get dirty too easy. The natural brown looks good sometimes, but other times it looks orangish. Of course the black looks spectacular, but I live in GA and I'm scared I'll scorch my ass in the summer!

What I really want is the M3 cinnamon leather in a 330i! Now that is a beautiful colored leather.
Anyone have black leather in a warmer state? Regrets?

Not an expert in BMW...but...

a couple of things. Do not limit yourself to your immediate area. If you have to make your best deal with whoever gives it to you - either by calling around or through military sales (via Pentagon credit union or some place similar)...and then take a bus, train, plane or convince a buddy to drive you to get it....likely this will cost you no more then a few hundred dollars at best...and you'll get a little adventure out of it (and get to rive your BMer back home!). I've bought cars several states away from where I live and have travelled to pick them up (with no adverse experience thus far).

Second - research invoice costs (and dealer incentives/hold backs and what not) - from Emunds and other such sites...and understand (approximatly) what your vehical with the options you want costs the dealer. Then decide what you want to pay...and what you are willing/able to pay...then make an offer (on the low side of that...what can they say/do - say no...?)..you can alwasy walk/decline to bargain further and move on - or let them come to you...call around if you have to...and ask if they have a car in stock that meets your criteria or comes close - they are often more likely to discount something on the lot to move stock. Also in my (recent and otherwise) experience it helps to not let on that this is the only car/make that you are interested in...so get some info on competing models - like Infinity G35, Mazda RX-8, Mercedes (whatever it is they are pawning off to those who don't know better these days [well anything they sell under about 75K at least]...etc etc...and be critical of the BMer (and its high price..even if just in small ways...)...getting all of this?

Also - you should call BMW European delivery - or talk to a salesperson who understands the program - particualrly one who understands what offers are being given military folks. When I was looking into buying my 330 (last week! etc lol) I was told that I might be eligible to have a car shipped to me from Europe - without even having to go there (If I had a military or diplomatic connection..which I do)....but I wanted to travel to Europe this summer (with the family) anyway...Alos your BMW salesperson should be able to show you the MSRP BMW sets for European and military/diplomatic vehicals - and they vary depending on the car. (and its pretty straightforward to figure invoice back from this)

As an aside - I just settled on/ordered a 330 performance (ZHP) for European delivery/pick up and the dealer took my offer without even a counter. My offer was >2K below Euro MSRP (so still approx 1500 over invoice) - to give you a ballpark. Another dealer just contacted me today and suggested they could beat the price...but declined to once I told them what I got it for..so I'm feeling pretty good about this deal so far - and isn't that the way it should be? I'll only be feeling better when I finally get the car! (July!)

Hope this helps. And if you are interested I know a sales guy here in Washington DC area who is (seems) very knowledgeble/experienced with Euro & military sales...and happens to be a native of Munich. He is the one I didn't buy from...but he has been amazingly helpful with various advice and such even though he didn't get the deal. Pm me or otherwise let me know if you want his name/number....and best of luck!

Oh also - Black leather in the sun - ouch! Not good. I have black leather in my MR2 (with T-tops) and in my Mustang (I cover them if the car sits out in the sun)... - and I wear shorts alot - and those seats get very hot - burning hot...I personally wouldnt recommend it. In fact I have come around to think that cloth or velor or such is a better option then leather. I never even considered the leather option on the ZHP ($1,500????? please)..think about it....

Got to admit though - some of the M3 leather interiors a very nice...as are the special yellow and tourquoise paints ofered only on the M....sweet!

I have Huper Optik and V-Kool tint on my car. As long as I put the windshield sunshade up, I can leave my car in 100 degree sun all day and come back and sit on my black leatherette (plastic should be hotter than leather) seats in shorts. Try looking into those two tints. They're expensive, but absolutely worth it. Most people just get one brand though.

I have the current Military Price sheet for sales in Germany and the total of the options you listed comes to $39275. They add $65 tax free processing fee and $200 for pre-delivery inspection. That comes to $39540 out the door.

As an example - I am shopping for a 545 and these are the prices I have been able to come up with for the base model with no options:

US MSRP - $55000
US Invoice - $50210
Europe Delivery Invoice - $46545

Don't know if you can use this but should give you an idea. Pretty big jump from ED Invoice to MSRP.

I bought my car through a military sales program, from www.pentagoncarsales.com For example, my 2004 325ci w/ premium, sport package, xenon, nav, m68s, silver metalic was $34000 shipped. Shipping was $800, so your shipping quote of $2100 seems pretty high. To use pentagoncarsales you need to be stationed somewhere in Europe or have TDY orders to there.

Codex: I went with 30% Huper Optik on all windows and it's GREAT. Cost $380 total.
