Posted this earlier in the E46 forum but somehow it's gone, maybe it's too much of a newbie question so I'll ask it here.

Wondering if a golf bag will fit ok in the trunk of a new 330i, anyone a golfer?

Yes, it will. If you're really good you can fit 2 in there. I use to work as a cartboy at a country club and had to deal with putting clubs in people's trunk. One time I even saw 2 bags in the trunk of an M3. I couldn't get them both back in there. I have no idea how this guy did it.

Sorry im not talking from experience only from what the "EYE" can see when i checked the trunk out myself.

My E36 experience: I have cd changer in the back, and that makes it a little more difficult to fit clubs back there. I used to fit my bag alone fine, then I got a Taylor Made R580 driver (stuck out of my bag further than my old driver), and I now I have to take it out and put it in the trunk separately. Two bags can be done, but now I just fold down one of the rear seats which makes it much easier. It hasn't been too much of a pain to keep me from getting another 3 series, though. I'm hoping the E46 has a little more trunk space.

Thanks for the help guys. Just thought of it when I was looking at them yesterday. Not going to keep me from picking up a new 330 though [:)]

The 330i can DEFINITELY fit two golf bags in the trunk. Hell, my G35C can fit two golf bags in the trunk (only 7.8 cubic feet of trunk space). I don't play golf, but when I open the trunk, the inside of the trunk lid has a diagram showing you how to fit the two golf bags in the trunk. So if my 7.8 cubic-foot trunk can do that, I'm sure the 330i's 10.7 cubic feet can do it.

My coupe came with that piece that is used to hide the CD changer. That thing eats up a ton of trunk room. I haven't really tried it, but by eyeballing it, I'm pretty sure my bag won't fit in there. I'm gonna have to at least take out the driver before it'll fit.

I don't like folding down the seats. If I go somewhere after, I prefer that when I park it, people can't see that I have a set of golf clubs in my trunk.

lol I have put a 42inch plasma tv in the back of my mazda 6 without the seats folded down
Example #1 of people having way too much money...

I could fit my new non-plasma 20" Sony TV in the passengers seat, and it was still in the box.

I've put 4 bags in my E46. I don't have the CD changer which takes up about 12" of width.
You have to take out the drivers and fairway woods, put them in after the bags are in. Of course, these are carry bags and not the big cart bags.
