Hello,
I am in the process of leasing a new 330i and was going to do European Delivery. I was told that with ED the price was fixed to what is on the website. Does anybody know if this is valid info I am being fed? Thanks.

What do you mean "fixed", the price for the car or the cost of the trip? The price of the car should come down at least 7 % but you do have to pay for the trip, my experience having taken the trip a few times, your saving money going there.

Thanks for the reply. I meant the price of the car was fixed to what BMWusa.com has listed. The salesman said since the car was going to be ED, that there was not any price negotiation. While the salesman seems honest, he still works for the dealership. I am just trying to get as much info as possible so I get a fair price. Any info is appreciated.

I did ED a few years ago on my 330cic, and have talked with several others. In my case, and most others, the dealer said the only discount was the 7% off of list, and all options are at list. No other dealer discounts could be negotiated.

With that said, one or two others claimed to negotiate additional dealer discounts beyond the 7%. According to my sales rep, the dealer makes some $$$ on ED, but not as much as compared to a regular sale, so no additional discounts. He said ED cars do not count towards their sales quota, so they don't get dealer rebates, etc. on ED.

ED is still worth it, unless you can negotiate a really good deal.
