Check engine light on

Hi guys,

How long can I drive with the check engine light on? Drives perfect and temp gauge is normal. No different in any situation. Should I book it into the dealer ASAP or is it okay for now. I know it will probably take 1.5 weeks to get me in, I cannot wait that long without a ride. Thanks for your input.

Yes you should. It could be an O2 sensor, which if you let it go too long, you could destroy your catalytic converter, which will cost a good $500 for OEM.
