Just bought a 2003 330i. There was some confusion with the guy I bought it from concerning the warranty. Is there a data base on line where I can check to see if this car is certified pre-owned or just under the factory warranty?
If you bought from "a guy" it isn't certified, CPOs are bought from BMW dealerships that extend the warranty to 100,000 miles with BMW approval, I'm sure you have the factory warranty, but only less than 50,000 miles on the car or 4 years.
Unless the original owner has extended the warranty out by purchasing it prior to the original warranty expiring. Calling BMWUSA with the VIN should confirm the BMW warranty coverage on the vehicle.
