Hello there friends,
After reading Vlad's excellent cleaning manifesto, I set out to find some of the products he cites. In my travels, I came across a guy who owns a company that distributes Car Brite detailing products. Car Brite is a national leader in detailing supplies (waxes, washes, cleaners, glazes, etc) and they supply many large manufacturers and dealers. They are a wholedsale outfit and the products are generally not available to the public. The guy who owns the wholesale outlet was very cool and informed me that most dealers use his stuff for prepping cars. Indeed, the dealer I bought my BMW from uses Car Brite products for delivery prep.
Have any of you ever heard of this company or used their products? I am hesitant to use products that no one has used before. The guy explained that the stuff many people use (Meguiars, 3M, Mothers, Gliptone, etc.), are retail brands that are decent, but do not hold a candle to the Car Brite products. There is a website for the company, www.carbrite.com
I plan to do some more research into this before trying any of the products. Im going to try to talk with the detailers at my dealer to ask them about the stuff, as I have confirmed that they used the products to prep my car for delivery, and the cat looked (and still does) awesome.
Anyone have any insight????[???1] In particular, all of you detail oriented people, please let me know what you think. Have a look at the website.
