Hi Guys. I posted this in the wrong section to start.. sorry about that

I recently blew my engine on my 92 Tercel (laugh away! it was a great car) I have been looking around for the last 2 weeks at trucks/ cars and I came across a 96 318 IS coupe. I am going to give you the details about it and what info you can give me on this and if it is worth buying

96 318 IS Coupe
5 Speed Manual
4 cycl 1.9 134hp
163,000km

The body is in pretty good condition for the year but the front bumber has some pretty big scratches and will ask to repaint before I buy it. No rust or signs of it being in a accident. The right side turn signal is gone but will ask for a new one aswell. He is asking $8500 Canadian. I really like the look of it and the ground effect is really hot! Any advice on motor problems or things I should ge checked would be great. I will be driving it over to my mechanic to check it before i buy it for sure! Hope you guys can help and i can smile when i drive my nice BMW!

Take Care

Welcome aboard, I recommend that you get BMW's 6 cylinder cars instead since they are more reliable. The 318i have been known to be unreliable as well as underpowered.

But for that price I guess its not too bad, make sure the owners has a full collection of maintenance records.
