just looking for what mods people do? where to get the best stuff and which companies to watch out for...

we already found the clear lenses for the entire car, he doesnt like orange (which i can take as an insult, since my entire car is orange)

spoilers? (nothing big)
what are the headlamp bulb sizes?
what performance mods yield the best results?
big brake kits would be useless, he wont be racing or anything, but ideas on air intake systems and exhaust systems to yield the best results without the 'rice' sound?
i know european cars ( i work for an audi / vw / porsche dealer )
but i mod my mazdaspeed, so i have an idea, but euro cars tune differently

any help / ideas/ suggestions will be highly appreciated

Clear lenses you wanna go OEM. Try pacificbmw.com or circlebmw.com for prices. Their internet dept. Not the regular parts dept. Or you can try Bavauto.com Don't wanna do eBay unless it's an OEM one off someone's car. The fake ones don't fit right.

Spoilers: try the M3 lip spoiler. It's understated. The E46 3 series doesn't need a spoiler.

Intakes: I agree with Leif Bronn's list

Exhaust: the major companies seem to make exhausts that aren't as loud as on the Japanese market. Not sure why. Prolly cuz these are luxury cars. I think Remus and Supersprint aren't too loud. Try and find a place that has audio files for you to hear cuz it's really subjective.

Do you really need to mod a 330ci? I mean, isn't it fast enough stock? If you had a 318, I'd understand.
Visual/audible mods are cool, though....but there are only so many.
