For usherjackson, the 800 # said the same thing about mine until this past Friday (at port awaiting shipping vessel). Finally by Friday, it said "in transit", but the car actually hit the dealership this weekend, so clearly the tracking has quite a lag in it. Did you try checking out the shipper web site? I knew that my car had landed in Charleston days before my salesperson did. As another post noted, if UPS can track a $10 package, why can't BMW do a better job tracking a $60,000 car?
