heres the plan SORTA..........not sure yet........ the 3.5 runs very strong[bmwdance], and i am having the "dog-leg getrag 265" rebuilt...........i am leaning twards a alpina B7-turbo clone, or maybe just a "period correct" german hot-rod.........either-way it will be old-school!
probably going to ditch the shortened U.S. bumpers and use euro models.............my first order of business is to aquire every single piece weatherstripping, and rubber on the body (i will have to get 2 sets of some things such as front and rear windshield gaskets and locking strips as some of the rubber parts will have to be replaced again when i paint the car)![[?|]](/images/smilies/icon_smile_banghead.gif "Bang Head [?|]")
............after i get the body weather-tight i will move-on to the interior new black carpet, console, complete door panels, black leather headliner, rear package-tray, and all of the trim and bright-work, about the only thing i will not replace in the interior will be the dash which is almost "PERFECT"..................second will be the suspension which will have the only non "period" parts on the car ![[nono]](/images/smilies/icon_smile_nono.gif "No No [nono]")
ie: adjustable caster-camber plates in front and camber-toe kit in the rear, with adjustable Konis, top-end sway-bars, and urethane bushings, i will fabricate my own adjustable strut, and shock tower braces...................then the drivetrain mods will follow.................maybe an alpina turbo system, [headbang] or maybe a ballanced bottom-end with a wild cam and side-drafts, ![[screwy]](/images/smilies/icon_smile_screwy.gif "Screwy [screwy]")
im not decided...................wheels will be either the "weaves" or alpinas if i keep the weaves i will use 215/60/r14s front and 225 in the rear, if i go with alpinas i will go 225/50/r15 front and 235s rear................................last will come paint and aero parts ie: alpina deck-lid spoiler, side-skirts, and front apron, maybe a small 3.0csl style roof spoiler.......................i will repaint it the original color with an orange pearl, and maybe "alpina" stripes.....................thats about it LOL. ![[ohcrap]](/images/smilies/icon_smile_ohcrap.gif "Oh Crap!
