Thank god I found this forum. I had know idea that so many people loved BMW's. I just bought my first BMW. It's a 1992 325i 4 door coupe. I Got it for $2500, and I absolutely love it. It needs some work on the interior and there's a very slight grind going into 4th gear, but the engine runs strong. Was this a good deal or no? And where should i start with performance upgrades? Or should I do a motor, tranny, and rear end swap with an M3? I appreciate any comments. Thanks.[wave]

Welcome!!

If it runs OK and has no major issues, $2500 is an OK price.

A decent upgrade for your car would be a performance chip. Other good upgrades include performance shocks/struts.

Thanks alot guys. I've found two chips. One at dinan, and one at bavarian auto sport. Are there any other places I should look? Dinan has a super charger kit for $6500. Are there any cheaper ones out there? A friend of mine told me I should rebuild the motor and upgrade the internal parts first, cam, pistons, ect. What do you guys think?

Supercharging is hard on the engine. If I were going with a SC on an engine that old I would definitely rebuild it first.

The other popular chip is Conforti, sold by a number of dealers, such as bimmerworld
