I just purchased a 2003 330ci form private owner. He did not have owners manual. Are the power seats supposed to adjust automatically when you unlock car or do you have to press the memory buttons on side of seat. It seems like sometimes the seats adjust when i unlock car with my key? I'm a new bmw owner, luv this car

It has the option of adjusting to whichever key is being used. Sounds like that feature is turned on. If you switch keys, it should adjust to another setting.

What codex57 said... If you use key A and adjust the seats to your liking, then the new position will be associated with key A. Someone with another key may change the seat position later, but when you use key A to unlock the car, the seat position will move back to the way you set it with that key.

The feature can be turend off by the dealer, if you so desire.

You can set it either way I think...

I just bought a 01 330ci, Several issues come to mind, not sure if its normal or not..?

1. Car seems to have a lot of Road Noise (has Pilot Sport tires-Factory?) Is this normal? (I used to drive a very quiet SUV...)

2. I have HK sound system, when a song with too much bass comes on the area between the 2 rear speakers raddles a bit - when I apply presure it stops..how can I make it stop for good...any ideas...??

3. there is a slight buzz/whine under the the front of the Right rear tire, is this the ventilation system....??

Any suggestions ideas would really help...

Thanks!

You might want to ask the dealer. A lot of people including myself have problems with HK speaker rattles in their E46's. For me, the front ones rattle when there's a lot of bass.

Could be normal. Depends on your reference. You have to remember these are sporty tires. I do notice a decent amount of road noise in both my 325ci and my friend's 330ci. Wind noise is barely audible though. Both are quieter than my Civic (ok, my sister's Civic now). Both are noiser than my g/f's Camry or the other Toyota sedan products in her family. If you came from a SUV, it could very well have less road noise since the tires are designed differently.
